Morgan was featured in a short film on AIDS education and prevention, Safe Sex for Men and Women. The profits from this film were donated in part to the American Foundation for AIDS Research. Morgan serves as a participant of the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan was the leader of numerous fund-raising efforts to combat the disease and been a witness before the Congressional Special Committee on AIDS Education. She sits part of the Board of Governors of APLA and Board of Directors of Amfar. C. Everett Koop's former deputy surgeon general requested occasionally to substitute for him at AIDS awareness programs. Additionally, she hosted an AIDS Awareness Special with Steve Bell. She has appeared twice on Nightline together with Ted Koppell regarding AIDS. Morgan is nominated as one of the Emmy recipient for her role in Diane English's Murphy Brown Special Episode written especially for Morgan. In the spring, she appeared with Joan Rivers on ABC's Your Money or Your Wife. The summer was kicked off by Murder At The PTA Luncheon. Productions like Von Zerneck/Sertner, also featured Cindy Williams and Marla Gabbs. She then starred in Harmony Gold's production Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady that starred Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee. Morgan has also been featured in a psychological thriller produced for USA Network. The film was a huge success and received the most impressive ratings to date.
